Peter Warshall (1940-2013) offers a guided tour of Earth’s terrestrial soundscape via the evolution of animal-sound relationships. Recordings are used to explore the creation, development, and function of animal sounds connecting human listeners to our non-human sonic lineage. Described by Warshall himself as “a history of the ways to move air precisely and tune oneself into the airstream.”
